BR - Death Scene

Macon Blair as “Dwight” in the 2013 Cannes’ FIPRESCI prize winner, BLUE RUIN. The film is a suspenseful, revenge genre flick with a modern setting. I was the solo full-time Makeup Artist for the film, with Makeup Effects led by Toby Sells. This is a continuity image of Macon during a second filming of the character’s death scene. Days after initially shooting the death scene, we needed to shoot it again for camera. This photo shows hand-painted blood continuity to match the screen shot below from filming the original death scene.
